ʻIʻiwi 'Ohi'a lehua

This one of a kind sculpture celebrates two of the islands’ most treasured native species, the ʻiʻiwi bird and the iconic ʻōhiʻa lehua blossom. Every piece is individually hand sculpted, making no two exactly alike.
The ʻōhiʻa lehua is a symbol of strength and renewal, often the first tree to grow on new lava flows across the Big Island. The bright red ʻiʻiwi relies on its blossoms for nectar, making them one of Hawaiʻi’s most remarkable native partnerships.
